There are many different levels to American football, depending on the players age and whether they're a professional. High school, college and professional are the three different levels of American football. The organization that governs high school football is the National Federation of State High School Associations. The National Collegiate Athletic Association is in charge of college football, and most people have heard of the NCAA. Additionally, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics is another organizational body of college football. Those who watch and love professional football know all about the NFL (National Football League).
The players on the team makeup the components of the offense and the defense. The judgment of the quarterback and the coach may cause significant changes in the defensive line. So you may see up to six players lining up on the defensive line. The key to defeating the other team when you are on the defense is to properly handle the offense line. If the defense sees a runner with the ball, it is their job to stop them as soon as possible. The offense will occasionally have openings for the running backs so you need to watch for and tackle any offensive player running through. Defensive players that are experienced and large enough can move the other team back causing them to lose yards.
Special teams are something every football team has. The special teams are designated for the plays that involve having to kick the ball.
